Apple is expected to release the mixed reality (MR) headset ‘Vision Pro’ as early as January next year. Apple's mixed reality (MR) headset 'Vision Pro' is expected to appear in the Apple Store in January next year.

The Vision Pro is a new type of device released by Apple nine years after the Apple Watch introduced in 2014. It is manufactured in the form of ski goggles and can implement functions used in existing PCs or smartphones in 3D space. It is known that over 1,000 developers developed it for over 7 years. Apple first unveiled Vision Pro at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) last June.

Due to the freedom of activity in virtual space, it was evaluated as a 'Metaverse' related device, but Apple emphasized the Vision Pro at WWDC as "the first space computer." It was reported that Apple invited some store employees to its headquarters in Cupertino, California, to receive training on how to use and sell Vision Pro. Employees who received two days of training at the headquarters return to their respective stores and pass on their know-how to the remaining employees.

It is reported that employee training will be conducted next month, around mid-January 2024, close to the launch of Vision Pro. “Headset setup will be complicated due to individual customization,” he said, which is why Apple is carefully planning every step, including how to wear and use the device to consumers.

However, there is a possibility that the release date may be slightly delayed. Bloomberg predicted, "Apple was initially aiming to release Vision Pro in January of next year," and added, "Even if this time is missed, it will be released no later than March of next year."

As new Apple devices that do not exist before are being sold, it seems highly likely that consumers will have to visit an offline Apple Store to pick them up even if they order online. This can be interpreted as the need for guidance on how to use the device, such as having employees directly demonstrate the product on site.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said of the Vision Pro, "It's the next chapter and a big leap forward in technology. I believe devices like the Vision Pro will replace the iPhone within the next 10 years." . Apple plans to expand the number of countries in which Vision Pro is sold worldwide, starting with the United States early next year. The price of Vision Pro starts at $3499 (about 4.62 million won).
